If we've got something wrong, we want to know โ and we want to put it right. Here's how to complain, and what happens next.
How to complain

Please tell us your name, how to contact you, what went wrong and what you'd like us to do to put it right. If you need help making a complaint, or need us to communicate with you in a different way, just say โ see our extra support page.
Who to complain to
About our service
For example, how we handled your application or your personal details โ complain to us, and we'll deal with it.
About your loan
Your loan is with your partner lender, so complaints about it โ such as interest, repayments or collections โ are usually best sent to them. Their details are in your loan agreement.
Not sure?
Send it to us. If it's about a lender or a mortgage broker, we'll pass it to them promptly and let you know we've done so.
What happens next
- We acknowledge itWe'll confirm in writing, promptly, that we've received your complaint, and explain how we'll handle it. If we can sort it out within three working days, we'll write to confirm that.
- We look into itWe'll investigate fairly, keep you updated, and may ask you for more information.
- Our final responseWithin 8 weeks, we'll send our final response. If we need longer, we'll write to explain why and tell you when to expect it.
If you're not happy with our response
You can ask the Financial Ombudsman Service to look at it, free of charge. You can also go to them if we haven't sent our final response within 8 weeks.
You must contact them within 6 months of when we sent our final response. There are also time limits based on when the problem happened, so it's best not to delay.
